One of the very first RO server - "Navy", was launched in the peer-to-peer network of Moscow in the "Ryazanska/Kuzminki" region in 2004. (By the way, perhaps at that time the another server was actively working in the Lublino area, it was a time when Prontera dungeon was especially popular and gold panties were the peak of fashion, it was the time of 6000+ revisions.) It was a private server and there were 30+ people online on it on Friday evening. And on Saturday there was 5 online, the remaining 25+ went to meet and discuss the past guild battle in the nearest park. During this period of time, which I would like to call the golden age, players could contemplate the rapid development of the world. No one really knew the world yet, quests were transmitted directly in conversations, databases did not exist yet. Some mechanics, which were later removed, surfaced for a long time in conversations over a can of beer - an extremely tasty morsel for farming, playing as Assassin, was a pyramid near Moroс, players crowded into any accessible corner of mobs for 1 cell and then finished off with "Grimtooth", the mobs did not scattered. The tactics on the "Seals" on the beach worked the same way, but with the Hunters in the lead role. After 3 years, there were many private servers in Russia, but only a few of them have been able to stand the test of time. One of these servers was and is the "Free-Ro". Until the end of 2009, many professionals played on it. But, nothing lasts forever, people have grown up and they have new goals in front of them - family, work, life. Since 2010, part of the community has tried to find new places of military glory, but they have not been able to stay anywhere. By 2012, the constant turnover of players between servers, the low level of the servers themselves, the lack of wipes on successful projects and the burnout of administrators put an end to the further development of RO. The Koreans also did not disappoint, their updates to game mechanics and completely incomprehensible gestures with the filling of game worlds in all key areas completely destroyed the more or less existing balance, which, by the way, was a reference model relative to other projects. By 2015, only occasionally did someone find the desire to kick the corpse of RO. I don't even want to remember the attempts of the official revival of the RO on the territory of Russia in 2020/2021 - this is quiet horror, pain and a scam.
